(Mad) Maximillian 1934: The Bull of Dudley Flats
« on: October 21, 2017, 10:39:43 PM »
Yesterday I dropped into Eureka Miniatures and picked up (among other things) the Mad Maximillian Flyer car, running versions of the crew miniatures and the turning template for the Maximillian 1934 rules by Mana Press.

Even though (like most of us) I have other projects that need to be finished (planned games, tournaments, etc) I was keen to get started what I got:

The above photo shows all the parts you get with the Mad Maximillian Flyer (100MMX003), swapping out the driver for the female one, the female driver foot figure (100MMX009), the bareheaded male running with flimsies (100MMX010) along with the turning template for Maximillian 1934.

I managed to glue the flyer (that'll be dubbed the Bull of Dudley Flats) over an hour or so:

The turning template/key I painted raw umber with a highlight and used chalk (as I've done with Knights of Dce's Mignola Avenue MDF building):

I'm pretty happy with how that turned out.

The template 'turned' out great!  ::)  That's a neat technique.

I think I'll try to get my two done tomorrow, in between commission work, etc.

Operating from an abandoned US spy base somewhere in the Australian outback, Miniature Martin produces games and scale miniatures set in parallel worlds, past and future. He is NOT trying to take over the Earth. This time.

Von Lucky,

I see a fifth figure in the set pictured that you didn't mention.  Looks like a female holding two pistols.  Does that come with the set too?  I didn't see it on the Eureka website.

Just answered (kind of) my question looking at your other post.  Louise Brooks figure, from Eureka?  Is is some kind of promo?

Macrossmartin - Thanks for the comment. I've spray varnished the template and the dustiness has gone (so detail is a lot sharper), but I'll need to paint the arrows again with white paint (not too hard) as they lost a lot of the chalk.

Matt - I contacted Nic at Eureka Miniatures. He confirms that she hasn't been released yet (but I imagine she'll be part of the 'A Right Bloddy Mess' range), but she is available. Like with many things that haven't got an official release yet, you can order her by emailing Nic (contact details on the Eureka Miniatures website).

Looking good LV!

I like how well the card fits as a base, we didn't plan that at all  ;D
