First LAF post - My sculpted-from-scratch trolls
« on: 31 October 2017, 12:51:52 PM »
Hello, I`m new here, hope this is the correct place to post them. Sorry if it isn`t, mods!

I made these trolls a few months ago. I`m going to run them as Sourbreath Troggoths in my AoS army, but wanted a different aesthetic. I began basing these trolls on the works of my favourite painter, John Bauer, but now they`ve taken on a character of their own.

They are made entirely from green stuff, with the exception of a couple of sections of cut-up safety pin and some super glue. I`ve done a bit of work with green stuff before, but these are my first substantial sculpts.

I`ve had these up on Imgur for a little while and someone told me to come post them here, so here you are!

What a great first post! They're fantastic - I always really want a range of Bauer-esque trolls, these are lovely!

Thanks everyone!

I`ve deviated a bit from his style, but the next ones will be a bit more folklorish.

They look good.

Any plans for releasing them?

Tony

I`d like to release some models, but to be honest I don`t know where to start! Is there anyone on here who might be able to point me in the right direction?

Will do. I`ve got a goblin warboss on a squig and am working on a troll commission at the moment. After that I think I`ll try some humans. There will be many more to come!

Welcome, feel free to post every miniature you will ever sculpt as the miniatures look splendid. You're very talented and I can see these being very popular, the sculpting is top-notch as is the character and pose of your trolls. I'm sure you will be able to find a company interested in buying these miniatures for production or if you should sell these yourself, make sure to post the news here for the people interested in buying some. If you have questions regarding the production of miniatures, feel free to ask and I'm sure that the hive mind of The Lead Adventure Forum will be able to give you all the answers you need.

Those look absolutely stunning. If you cast them I would definitely be interested in getting some.

And welcome on board. People here are usually not as mad as they seem. It’s usually much worse.

Cheers, I`ll post `em them as I make `em. Is this board the best ones to post questions about production? I have a lot.

I`m sure I`ll fit right in. And thanks, I`ll definitely post it on LAF if I start producing them (which I would like to).

Wow! Your trolls are great – very Bauer-y.

Can't wait to see more and do let us know if you start producing them, even for a limited run.
