Interest in 1809 Tyrolean Rebellion in 15/18mm?
« on: November 03, 2017, 10:44:40 PM »
I’m trying to persuade Nic at Eureka Miniatures to produce 15/18mm versions of his lovely Tyrolean rebels so posting here to gauge possible interest in supporting such a launch, and get recommendations on other sites and forums (fora?) on which to publicise it.

It’ll be my first foray into Napoleonic gaming for almost 30 years but, with rebels in lederhosen supported by white coated Austrian regulars plus Grenzers and Jaegers taking on Bavarians in cornflower blue and their French allies, what’s not to like? The terrain is very picturesque as well!

I’m aware Old Glory make a single 15mm pack but I’m aiming for c. 12 assorted musketeers, 8 figures with polearms and various command and character figures. We need to get a reasonably firm commitment to c. 4000 figures across the whole range to make it viable, but at this stage no firm commitment is needed - just an expression of interest and a rough idea of possible quantity so we can get to the next stage - Eureka have done something similar with their medieval almughavars in the past, and are now doing the same with ancient Sumerians.

Hopefully, here’s the link to the existing 28mm range to give you an idea what the figures might look like...

Thanks for reading so far!

As far as I am aware, only Old Glory currently make specific Tyroleans in 15mm (available from 19th Century Miniatures in the US, I believe, or via Timecast in the UK - you may need to order them specifically).  Here are some pics of them (the first item is not relevant, but scroll down):-

No plan survives first contact with the dice.
