Rapid Fire late 1960's game
« on: November 20, 2017, 06:06:35 PM »
As a follow on from our 1940 France game we played a 1960's Russian break through into Northern France across the same terrain. Very different outcome with some very nice models, Write up OOB and pictures on the blog.

Great job. A really interesting choice in terms of period. Some lovely kit - all pre IFCS , just good old steam gunnery.

Very cool, I like cold war gone hot in the 50s/60s.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Great looking vehicles.
Are they metal or plastic ?

I plan to use the Rapid Fire rules for later cold war, around 1980's and in 10mm scale.
Do you think it will work ?
Just think it would be good to see loads of stuff on the table.

Thanks guys. The models are a mix of plastic, metal and model kits, Rapid Fire work great but you do need amendments. We extend the ranges and give saving throws to foot to make them more robust plus small arms firing bonus for automatic weapons. The tanks are mainly stabalised so can move half and fire without taking the moving penalty. 10mm might work if you changed inches to centimetres? Grimjack PM sent over.
