High Elf Army
« on: 26 November 2017, 06:23:51 PM »
Some of these figures have been seen before here and on my, now defunct, blog. The Reavers, Dragon Knights, character models, shadow warriors, and griff hounds are new.  I definitely want to add some chariots and I feel like it needs some more spearman and bowmen.

I’ve written some homemade rules so they are built for that rule set.

A lovely , well painted, well put together army with a nice colour scheme.

Would be a real joy to see this deployed across the table from me.  :)

Very well executed!

Very nice, do like some pointy eared parading around from time to time.

Very nice indeed. I love the shields on the spearmen, reminds me of a certain flag.  ;)

Beautiful painting.  I particularly like the heavy cavalry with their crazy helmets.

Nice colour scheme. I wasn't even aware of the existence of the griff hounds, they look like pretty decent figures.

Thanks everyone.

Elk101:  I agree about the hounds, they were fun to paint.

Ethelred:  the Dragon Princes have always been some of my favorite models and the newest kit is the best.

Twrchtrwth:  I love these spearmen, probably the best spear elves that I’ve seen.

Nord:  thanks!  You’re undead figures really make me want an army to oppose the elves. I’m about to work on chaos mortals.

Thanks again to everyone.

Those guys are wonderful!

They aren't just high elves, though, are they? Surely they are Melnibonéan princes with a pack of Dharzi hunting dogs.

Though I suppose without the right licence, GW can't actually call them that, can they?
