Jason, the proprietor, was at one time a fairly active member of this forum under the user name Mancha. From his profile, he doesn’t appear to have been active for the last few months. Hope he’s okay. Might be worth dropping him a pm (which will send him an email).

Hinterland is apparently going out of business.  At the beginning of December, Jason sent out an email stating:

On to the bad news: I’m taking Hinterland out of business.  I obviously haven’t done much with it lately, lost my caster, and I’ve been slowly running out of stock.  I want to sell off what I have left, convert that corner of the garage to new interests, and close down the website.


Which leads to additional good news: For the first (and last) time ever, I’m holding a sale.  Everything is reduced anywhere from 10% to 50%.  (Of course, the 50%-off only applies to the stuff that no one wants, although in some instances I feel this lack of popularity has been unwarranted.)  If you want some new Hinterland minis, this is your best—and last—chance to get them.  In some cases, my stock is pretty low, if not gone, so don’t dawdle.

They look like a reasonable fit with Dragon Bait’s steam bait range so if was the seller, they would be the first people I got in contact with.

So sorry to hear this!  I just found this thread after finding so many models listed as out of production on the Hinterland website.  Here's hoping an established manufacturer picks up the range from Jason.  It's a great product, and he's been top notch as well!

Edited to add: perhaps Brigade Games would step up.  They have an eclectic selection that the Hinterland line would fit right in with.  Or perhaps Empress?

Tis a great shame, I have a fair few of these delightful ladies and had planned on getting more.

Does anyone know what has happened to the casting moulds? Sold on to a new owner perhaps? I do wish Jason all the best with his new interests & offer up my thanks for some great figures.
