Yes you can, the roofs come off  :D

I'm making all my Beaverlick Falls buildings with removable roofs so that at some point I can add some interior detail

Even if they didn’t I’m sure we’d try and force the figures in somehow  >:D

Hope the builder plans to add some battens to those boards!  Or it's going to be drafty in there.   ;)
Nice work.

Brilliant build s mate! :-* How solid are they? I take it the sides are one piece, 3D printed, they’re quite robust?

Nice work.

Yep, all the boards first then the battens afterwards, otherwise it gets too complicated for them  ;)

They're pretty robust - the four sides are printed individually, as are the joists for the roof:

I'm going to adopt it as the basis for all (most) of my Beaverlick buildings as if provides a sturdy fame for the balsa to be stuck to.   A better explanation and some more pics can be found here https://beaverlickfalls.blogspot.com/2018/05/part-constructed-buildings.html

You say it here:

...This is my basic design for a small building that I've used to create a pair of houses under construction.  By printing it flat like this, rather than as a fully 3D assembled house I have avoided a lot of clean up and it's given me more flexibility for future builds, for example a building that's got a side still to be built...

Manual construction, aided by 3D printed elements, for symmetry and accuracy exactly where you want it!
A great step for future modelling!

Needless to say that your blog is a treasure trove! Cheers!

That is a mighty fine piece of terrain.  Love the idea of a part finished building and a great use of the timber blocks.  Super basing as well.  :-* :-*

Every expanding town needs a Lumber Yard and Beaverlick Falls is no exception.

2mm MDF base with the normal sand/pva/paint mix.  The office was built previously (http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=105875.msg1369486#msg1369486) so it was a case of fitting it to the base, adding the fencing then the groundwork as normal.

Where did the chair come from?

I 3D printed it on a resin printer.

It's very fiddly and I wasn't having much luck with it, but James knows what he's doing with it (unlike me) so he's looking after my printer now.  If you want a few I'm sure we can sort you some.
