The reason I mentioned penguins, was because there are miniatures available already... and it would be very simple to convert them. I haven'y seen puffins being produced.

That said... how hard can it be to sculpt a few little Porgs? :)
I personally don't know. But would like to see a pro show is.
Why don't you gave at it.

Would love to see your take on a Porg too, Inso  :)

By the way, made yesterday my first humble version of a Porg myself  ;)
Am not quite happy with him, as I don't like the eyes that much a completley forgot about the nostrils, but I'm getting there.
He's around 4mm "tall", by the way.

Will make a few more, advanced versions today  :D

I was worried when seeing the trailer that the Porgs would be like the new Jar-Jar and get too much air time. Thankfully they didn't.

I also wondered if they were created so that the birds shot whilst filming the island in real life, didn't have to be edited out. They are clearly Puffins too. I care not for them, they were a fun little addition, but that's it. If we'd have seen more of them it would have potentially ruined the movie IMHO.

IMHO, Porgs were ever the last thing in a long list of things to ruin that movie!  :D

I didn't say they ruined the movie . . . . . I suggested that if given a role like Jar Jar Binks then they would have. Fine as were. Didn't dislike them as such, but find it hilarious that something that perhaps got 4minutes of screen time at best became the commercialised product - I mean I know it's Disney, but it's a clever bit of marketing.

Personally, I found the movie itself decent. A lot of moaning and whinging about stuff from all over the place. I felt a lot was incredibly misplaced.

Nah, as much as I'd love to, don't want Mickey Mouse knocking on my door and beating me up.

You bet!  :D

Funnily those Porgs remind me less of guinea pigs and more of a crossover breed of penguins and baby seals...
