The Jewish Revolt AD 66-74

Hello all

Here I´am back with another project. Yes another...
Just a small one this time (or at least i think so).
The Jewish revolt of AD 66-74 who saw Vespasian and Titus is son walking on Galilee and crushing another series of rebellions from the jewish people.
There is very scarse information regarding the jewish army/warriors so i´m basing my info mainly on Osprey campaign 252 - THE JEWISH REVOLT AD 66-74, tv series MASADA and very few images on google so if anyone has some feel free to participate on this thread.

My plan is to make a small force of 10 to 15 figures of jewish fighters to ambush small roman patrols.

So, without more crap here is my first attempt of a leader or a zealot equiped with leather as protection and a stolen roman gladius.
Head from West Wind, body from victrix romans and some green stuff.
He is not finished yet but wip is advanced.
Your opinions and info are welcome and hope you enjoy reading and seing the photos/conversions/painting.

        Very good Zealots can be made by combining the bodies of the old Wargames Factory Ancient Light Infantry, with their Ancient Germans.  In fact when WF was still running, they actually sold a "mash up" set to do just that.

If so i couldnt get none unfortunately.
A friend gave me 4 bodies and i used them for my roman gangs.

I suggest the numidian infantry set from Victrix for the bodies and for heads I would go for their peltasts

I like the idea and the transformation, I think that it is very easy, and is very suitable to find new uses to the Numidians and Mahdist.
I will copy it! Great armour.

You need a bunch of young guys chunking rocks. Big one and little one, some with slings, some bare-handed. Rocks were and remain a cheap and plentiful weapon in Judea. A fundamental Zealot tactic was to get up on top of some inaccessible building or landform and throw rocks. The rebels were mostly not skillful or enthusiastic about close combat.

 Can't say I blame them I doubt I'd wanted to face a well trained Roman soldier with a big shield, armour and a Gladius up close either.
