That is seriously stunning. I wish I had the ability to craft something like that.

I see! Thought the roof comes with the gable attached. If it is separate, i.e. only the shingles and the baulks, that's very cool!
I want to build some kind of pitched roof for a small tower. There should be a rather acute angle for the roof - difficult to explain in English. :?
Something like that:

no - no gable at all. i just cast the roof part, if you want to make the gable you have to cut it and glue!

now making the tower. after that only small corrections! :=

Edit: the brownish orange part is the primered wall. it should become like the other one: almost white!

Wowee! Looking good!  8)

Any tips on the lovely effect on the roofing tiles and the walls?

I think the colour scheme is great but perhaps the chimneys look a little clean? Watered down black ink wash and a bit of moss and lichen maybe?

monochromatic?
well, when things get really old, colour fades, everything gets dirty and sooted - can't help that

what You could do is add colourful details

that's a good point. i think i'll add some gras or just some weathering, for those chimneys! :)

@former user, I'll paint those shield as colourfull as i can, i think that some colours are strongly needed! :)
