Don's Scratchbuild Renaissance Galleys

Having seen the very cool Galleys from Skull and Crown, I wanted to do something similar.
Thou I liked the models, I am not a big MDF-fan...

So I started to try out something in plastic card and paper tisuues...




And a few WIP ships painted so far.





I will add a few more pics over the next days...

Any chance of some step by step pictures/templates?
I still need to make a ship for Belit and her black corsairs for my Conan game and that two masted one looks like a perfect place to start.

Well those are bloody lovely!

I may have to shift gear from airships to galleys....

Okay...here are two shots of the fleets so far.
Including the fighting man on bord...and the turkish lanterna flagship.




Flags are not finished....;(


There are many different troop types as barbary corsairs, maltse knights, janissaries and so on...
Have to see, if marker handling is too difficult...
