Wheat fields with bases for visual appeal
« on: 25 January 2018, 07:23:15 PM »
Inspired by my friend Fredrik Carrasco and made with the help and tools of my buddy Thomas Widgren I finished my wheat fields this evening.

The simple addition of bases to the fields with some drybrushed dirt and static grass really improved this extremely cheap but versatile terrain type.

More details and pictures over at my blog.

Nice! I've got some chunks of very similar looking door mat around that I've been meaning to upgrade in a similar fashion.

Your buddy's pig sty is also being filed away for inspiration, the muddy wet look is great. Must get some of that Rendera wattle fence, it was super common right up until the 20th C in rural areas apparently.

Yep. Based mine in a similar way. Works a treat!

Thanks for the comments guys  :)

I'm pretty happy the way my terrain collection is being upgraded. Just finished painting the rooftops on all my 4Ground French & Indian War buildings to make them look more realistic and the small change also made a huge visual difference.
