People have had their names changed in the past on the old site. Not sure how it works on the new software, but in the past I believe one had to get in touch with somebody with admin powers (the Prof back in the day) and get them to do it for you.
Though I don't think anyone is going to object to your username as it is, most would probably see it as a tribute. And nobody is going to think you are trying to impersonate Mr. Featherstone, as I am afraid he has sailed these shores and passed beyond the veil, as it were.
