New Mantic sci-fi vehicles

Have a look here:

http://www.manticgames.com/mantic-shop/warpath/gcps.html

Check out the Mule and the Hornet, now available for pre-order.

I think they look ace. New plastic kits at about half the price of GW. Nice job, Mantic.

The Hornet certainly looks interesting, but I want to see more of the Mule.

They do look very tempting and are fairly generic.
cheers

I think I could even use the Mule as Megacity One civilian SUV. Just leave the weapons off.

Hornet drop ship looks useful too.

Does anyone know how the figures scale in with the likes of Copplestone?

Three Hornet dropships for £69.99 with detachable transport compartments with opening doors is a strong argument to undust Starship Troopers...

I don't have any of the Corporation troops, but the Mantic figures I do have are slighter, less Chunky than Copplestone or GW, but a fairly decent height match.

Size wise, the figures are fine and fit in with pretty much everything out there at the moment. The one I measured was 28mm to the eyes, so just over 30mm to top of head.

Be careful to stick to ones that say "hard plastic". The original corporation troops were a really bad restic - the sort where you have to slice off the mold lines as filing them just makes them furry. The rebels in their Deadzone range have some nice aliens, but are restic and painful to clean.

Definitely tempted by the Mule and the Hornet.

Re: Cleaning Restic
Use a brass brush to remove the 'furry' restic (I have some meant for working with leather, appr. toothbrush-sized) - it works magic.

Is that the same for the vehicles?

I feel as if I should've gotten some of those.   :D

I'm not certain there were any as the opening post says "have a look here" and provides a link.
Assuming these images work, here's for everyone's viewing pleasure:

I really have no idea what I'm doing.
