What about putting the nut under the table and the wing nut on top so it is easier to disassemble? Or use 2 wingnuts on each "leg"? Otherwise, great work.

Have seen a few raised tables on here before.  Handy for those that don't want to see dice, drinks, etc on their cherished terrain.  In my case, it also means I can play sprawled out on the floor without the dog traipsing through.

Anyways, I had an aluminium-framed pinboard lying around that is approx 3 ft by 2 ft which is just the perfect size to take my zombie board.  How to raise?

- I bought four of 200mm M10 bolts plus washers and wingnuts for just less than £4.
- Drilled through the pinboard's fixing holes so that they'd take the bolts.
- Pushed the bolts through from underneath, popped a washer and nut on top then tightened the wing nut and washer from underneath.
- Put a self-adhesive soft plastic 'pad' on the foot of each leg (ie, top of each bolt head) so that it wont scratch the dining table.

And easily removed for transportation and storage.
Cheers,

Wingnuts would be more likely to get caught by hands/sleeves/elbows than regular nuts. I'd say Silent Invader made the right call with regular nuts on top and wingnuts below.

For bonus points and elegance, dome nuts on top would be kind of cool. Regular ones work fine, though.

You don't have a location under your name?
Are you UK based.
I have taken a walk down to the shop floor and picked up these.

Send me a PM with your address in the UK and I will post them down if you want?
M10 right?

I'm really sorry for the Threadomancy, but I wanted to ask a couple of questions about this project;

1) How do you find the table; doesn't it move around alot? Or isn't it prone to being knocked over?

2) Have you made any modifications to this design? Have you weighted the bottom of the legs?

Cheers
Andy

And again sorry for the Threadomancy

Thanks for the info!

Now that you've mentioned it, I think I was at this BLAM. I'll have a look through my old photos.

Cheers
Andy
