some of the conversion work and detailing...

the main deck was tidied up... new barrels from SHQ,
the lines on the cargo hatches were replaced and some extra stowage.
(you can just make out the replacement brass bollards too!)

below - a close-up of the new bollards (sadly i only had 4x sets of these, but they look much better than the originals)
and the new anchor chain which replaced the cast one...

the white metal masts were all bent outta shape, and clearly wouldn't take much handling, (and some parts were missing)
so i rebuilt them out of brass rod... (sorry the pic is blurry but you get the idea)

below - both the fore and aft masts are removeable, and slot into a slightly narrower brass rod
which is drilled and pinned in place... (note brass rod replacement pipework on the rear of the funnel)

finally, the main structure of the boat, with new port holes from plastic tubing,
and extra detailing from plastic strip and brass rod.

Ladies & genn'ulmen - the crew....

the whole scurvy load of 'em... (note only three Britannia figs made it through to the final cut)
various conversions from various Battlefield Miniatures figs;

the main gun crew, gunner started out as a LFDiv infantryman, gunnery officer was the loader from the LFDiv 88 crew (now with new arm and binos) and the loader is from the DAK 88 crew, all have been chopped about, heads swapped and lifejackets added....

next two are from the DAK 88 crew, again - headswaps and suchlike... these will be prepping ammo on the deck ready to pass upto the fore guncrew - again, lifejackets from duro
