Just received my kickstarter Austrians, by Emperor's Toad Emporium (which should hire a good web designer, by the way... it's a pity that their product don't receive the love it deserves)
I must say that I am agreeable surprised by the quality of the sculpts and the castings. The photos don't convey how good the figures actually are.
Scale is 1/56, similar in size to Fife & Drum, Minden Miniatures or Crann Tara Miniatures, maybe slightly -very slightñy- bulkier.
The only "problem" -if you consider it a problem, that is- is that the fusils are not overscaled, which means that barrels are extraordinarily thin and will be a pain in the ass to paint. Despite this, and that bayonets are also properly scaled, not a single fusil came broken. All have arrived in perfect state. That must be thanked to the high quality of the casting process used by the chaps at Griffin Moulds.
I am very happy with my purchase. Hopefully, Emperor's Toad will continue expanding the range. I know that Dutch and Prussians are coming, but I have not use for them. British, more French (you never have enough French!) Spanish and Russians, on the other hand... And cavalry! Need cavalry! And guns! Almost forget guns
