Experimental Super Soldier - Hasslefree Jotun
« on: May 29, 2009, 04:45:19 PM »
As part of my Zombie Science project, i've just painted up a Hasslefree Jotun - base still needs a bit of dirtying up, debris, trash etc, but apart from that, pretty much done.

Was fun to paint, as the detail is easy to pick out, even for an average painter like myself, without being too intimidating.

I fancy building a small unit of these guys, as some sort of Nemesis project style unit.

 :)

Nice, I like the blue tubing.  8) Is that pumping horrible toxic revivifying liquid around his body? Nice contrast to the earthier main colours.

Nice job, Akula! I also loved painting this fig, although I atually had a bit of trouble picking out some of the details where flesh and metal intermingled a bit too closely for my taste. I do have two more of them to paint to form a unit like the one you're talking about. THAT should put the fear into my cocksure players...

Nice job there! I really like the olive and urban camo. It really sets the theme.

Love 'em, Akula. Well done.

I particularly like the tubing. May I ask what color(s) you used to do them up?

A real hotchpotch!

 :)

Foundry tan as the base skin colour, foundry slate grey as the base for the camo trousers.  Humbrol 102 Green for the shoulder pads, The Light Blue is a citadel colour (sorry i forget what its called, but its pretty much as you see it), with a Citadel Devlan Mud Wash, and then a quick drybrush.

I think these would make great T-600s. The absolutely look the part.

Hey guys,

I was just at Hastings and was walking thru the magazine section. I was in the Film and TV section and saw a copy of "The Official Movie Souvenir Mag" titled "Terminator Salvation". I looked thru a copy and it has alot of really good information and sketched and pics of all of the different types of Terminator bots. Anyone into this movie, or gaming it, will certainly like this issue.
