Managed to finish off another dozen figures today - Perry’s straight off the sprue, no tweaks for a change.

These are to fit in with similar figures that I picked a while back from TheBlackCrane & Silent Invader....the extra figures are to fill them out to two full units of 24, one pike, one bow.

Originally I was toying with these as some sort of sellsword company, but I’ve replaced the original banners, so they will now be representing House Foote, of the Westerlands (bannermen of House Lannister).

Thanks everyone, glad you like them...just trying to tidy up a few of the existing Houses, as I’ve got plenty of plans for new ones as well  :D

Thank you. As mentioned, the bulk of House Foote (3/4) were painted originally by TheBlackCrane & Silent Invader, I just tweaked them slightly and rebased to fit with my others.

The dozen “fresh” troops that I finished this week, are the end result of a lengthy build/paint queue....I reckon I can finish a unit of 24 infantry in 8 hours, which works out to 20 mins per figure...but that includes building, basing, priming etc.

In practice, I end up having much shorter periods of time scattered over a week say, so I might build/kitbash them during a break on Mon/Tues, base on Wed, prime on Thursday, start on some basic elements on Friday eg flesh, and then blitz them over the weekend.

If it looks like I’ll have less time over the weekend (or don’t manage a 30 min break during the week), then I’ll use the weekend time, instead, to start building/basing up extra units.

The key is just to get something.... anything.... done, when I have a few spare minutes - that way I can keep making progress.

 :)

Still want to see an 'absolutely everything' shot. You must have a phenomenal collection, seriously. Would be curious to see all the terrain as well.

I’ll give it a go, but it might take a while to set up for obvious reasons  :D

I expanded my tabletop gaming space at the end of last year...added another table, and got some additional gaming mats for Christmas, so it would be good to (hopefully) get everything in one shot.

Re: AKULA’s Game of Thrones - pg49 Baratheon reinforcements

Stannis gets some much-needed reinforcements

The bodies are mainly Perry’s with a few Fireforge mixed in. Arms are a mix of Perry, Fireforge, Frostgrave and Oathmark. Large shields are Perry plastics, the haters are the usual metal Gripping Beast ones. The distinctive heads are metal from Mirliton.

The standard bearer doesn’t fit with the troops, as it’s actually for the household troops I painted up previously....I still gave him a “regular” Baratheon shield, as I figured it was more handy given he is holding a standard.

Both units together (with the standards swopped over)

How many figures completed now for the project?

I’ll have a bit of a count up ... planning on taking a photo of everything together

Nice work! I like the mix-and-match approach for the shields, to have a nice combination of full-stags, stag heads and hearts. Really gets the whole "We had to cobble together what we had left on Dragonstone" feeling across!
