THe Chaos Munchkins are awesome...so different and unique...you just got to love 'em.  What do you use them for gaming-wise??

The Colonel and his men look so stoic and ready for action...nice grouping!!

Best of luck to you both!!

I voted for the 2nd, but.....

The piping is not correct!

von Lettow-Vorbeck was in east africa. DOA's colour was white.
Sky blue is for SWA (namimbia nowdays).
[Cameroon has red.]

Sky blue is more pleasing to the eye, that is the reason I used for my German East African army sky blue, too!

Blue piping is correct for the clothing on all Schutztruppe forces as far as I know. It's only the hats that should have white piping for Deutsch-Ostafrika.

You are correct! Sorry I made it not clear.

Never mind the piping, Lettow-Vorbeck deserve a vote anyway. Please tell us about this figure (mounted), is it a conversion?

Yep!

He is an Anglian Miniatures officer and horse from their Nationalist Cavalry Command (AN-NCAV03), with the head from Brigade Games Colonel Von-Lettow-Vorbeck figure in their German Schutztruppe Command (BG-WIAG04) pack, and a Redoubt hand and sword to replace the pistol the original figure was carrying.

So basically, a head and hand swap.

The reins were also added... paper.

Answer is 42 - They are old Citadel familiars that came with Chaos Sorcerors

Hitman - I haven't used them for gaming as I painted them last week for the league

I thought I recognized the little blighters from somewhere. I have one of those fellows. My favourite was the open book walking about on little legs, but he doesn't seem to be in that mob shown there.

I got mine as a pack just of familiars (no sorcerors), it had the one on stilts in it too. Can't remember what else. Maybe a little nudie demon girl, in a sort of coy pose? Or did I dream that one?  ;D

As a side note. Liked these both, but the Colonel is a hero of mine, so I voted for him, ultimately.

Just wanted to point out that horses in East Africa were rarely used for military purposes. The Tsetse fly was rampant, even through WW1. That's why I lobbied forever to get somebody to do German colonial troops mounted on donkeys and mules, and finally resorted to converting Foundry Belgians for the role, in some cases.

Although I admire your steady hand Ray, in my opinion the eyes actually detract a little bit from this entry.

The shading and highlighting on the munchkins is beautiful, but it's just too darn hard to overlook the fact that they're all the same.
