Wow... This just got... Pretty bleak. With the emphasis on pretty of course  ;)

Bleak is good too! :) Cheers man. I'm hoping to refine the tone a bit in future. I do want it to be bleak, but to have a distinction between the Dark - which is monolithic and unthinking - and the living races in the world, which are merely imperfect.

All your BEAUTIFULLY painted & based creations work wonderfully together to create a dark & forbidding world. VERY WELL DONE!

Thank you sir!

wowzer  :-*

Cheers!

Those are great!!

Thanks :)

The skellys look amazing... love the banner men...

Cheers - I think I got away with using the Forgeworld transfers on them...

Love the flowing robes on your Wights!

Cheers! I think I could go back and blend the highlights more (and maybe push them a bit further at the same time). But they're OK for gaming for now.

___________

And now, finally, the Last King of Modgud himself, Taranis the Deceived, first to serve the Dark in this age:

" ... the seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days."

No love for Taranis? Here's a little snapshot of a recent engagement between the barrowguard of Modgud and the Black Order, near the graveyard of Crow's Peak:

A really impressive host!

I like the flying wights most. Very dynamic yet not out of place with the other minis.

There is a lot of love for Taranis. Fantastic as always. Another Mierce Miniature? I’m really enjoying the narrative you are building with this army and your Black Order. I have recently found a copy of Myth to try and play. Keep up the amazing worth!

Thank you sir! (Not Angrypantz of Instagram fame perchance?) Awesome you got your hands on Myth - how are you finding it so far?

Aye. The one and same.

I haven’t had a chance to sit down with it. Real life responsibilities come first.

Honestly this blog is such an inspiration.

How quiet it's been in here...! Let's be having some updates - first, a small one, a test model for the undead knightly order now serving the Dark:

Excellent work, as always. The turquoise works really well with the rusted metal.

May I inquire as to what make the skeletal horse is?
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

That's very good indeed. The skeletal horse colours work well with the green.

I think it's from GW's Black Knight/Hexwraiths box.

Nice conversion and really good looking paint scheme.

Cheers guys! Much appreciated :)

Yep, the horse is the standard GW one from the Hexwraiths set. Just added on a different head and shield.

You mean on the rider (and not the horse)?
