Indian 17th Cavalry
« on: January 02, 2019, 01:44:06 AM »
Working my way through the backlog of old lead and finally managed to finish this unit after 3 years  :o

The 17th Cavalry saw action in German East Africa during WWI and later fought in the Third Anglo-Afghan War.

Further info and links to multiple pennon JPGs for figures can be found on the blog:

I'd also like to acknowledge LAF member Mike Blake who researched the unit for me when I first started this project. Your help is much appreciated!

Thanks!

Chris

A fine body of men and horse, plus it's such a versatile unit which can be used in several theatres as you have mentioned.

3 years is hardly 'old' lead, sir.

Nevertheless: the men looking great.

Ooh these are nice. I suspect they would not fit in with my Copplestone big boys though  :(
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.
