Miniatures of Gods
« on: 03 January 2019, 05:56:13 AM »
Hi all

Am looking for miniatures of greek gods to use for OGAM.

Foundry do have a range but size-wise are the same as normal mortal minis. Did find the mythic battles range but quite expensive since they're not part of the kickstarter anymore and don't know if any stock them. Northstar has a good range but am looking mainly for Poseidon, Aphrodite and Hades & Persephone.

Any suggestions are welcome!

Thanks
C

Try Crocodile games https://www.crocodilegames.com/ they are slighlty bigger (32mm), heroes bigger than their infantry.
I have a "demigod of Zeus" usually played as Ares.

Just an idea with this one: https://www.crocodilegames.com/store/itemDetail.cfm?prodID=563&catID=53 you can change the spear with a trident...

Ciao

Aye, I'd second Crocodile games as the best source of over-sized god's - Greek and Egyptian.

Here's Apollo and Artemis.

SHQ has a small range of Greek and Norse gods.
No pictures on their website, because it's only 2019 and who'd want that right?
And their site appears to be playing up so I can't link to the page.
They're about 40mm  so bigger than 28s without being huge on the tabletop.

Hermes:

Poseidon:

With a Crusader 28mm for size comparison

Those are from a DeAgostini partworks magazine and turn up relatvely frequently on eBay.
A search for DeAgostini and Greek God name will usually turn up something local.

Or you could go on holiday to Crete and pick up a cheap tourist statue model and repaint, like chum James did.
