Scabbarded Rifles/Shotguns
« on: January 10, 2019, 06:11:13 PM »
Does anyone know of any weapon packs with scabbarded or holstered rifles, shotguns and generally period appropriate long-arms?

I've found myself with the need to up-arm several of my pistol slinging minis, and outside of buying complete miniatures for the parts or sculpting it myself I'm not sure where to look. Any help would be appreciated.

Might want to specify scale.  But even without scale, I can't think of ever seeing a 'normal' war game scale set of separate weapons that included 'booted' long weapons.  I'd suggest finding the weapons as stand alone items or sets and then adding the scabbard, seems like a pretty basic sculpting job and easy to add the minimal detail - unless you want an ornate native American type with fancy beadwork and feathers, but even that would be easy enough I'd think.  And could be done with Super Sculpey so nothing exotic to work with.

Good luck.

Oof, yeah, forgot to mention I was looking for 28mm stuff.

I had a feeling sculpting was going to be my best option. Luckily I don't need anything fancy.  Thanks!

Drop me a pm, I might have some 28mm rifles (Henry and Springfield) you can have if you don’t mind sculpting the holsters on.

I believe the Perry Civil War Cavalry box has several spare carbines (not in scabbards).  I know that's not what you're looking for, but it's a start.
