Review: Gravestones by Mannequin Minis
« on: 10 June 2009, 07:15:57 PM »
Graveyards figure prominently in all kinds of games, from pulp to fantasy to modern monster hunting. Of course, to make a good-looking graveyard you need some nice headstones, and UK newcomer Mannequin Miniatures has an impressive line of them sculpted by famed artist Bob Olley. My review (with painted pics) can be found at my blog, The Screaming Alpha.

Great looking gravestones. Too many times when companies make markers, they forget to add details to the back. Nicely painted too!!
Victory is guaranteed to the last man standing, but always remember those whom you stepped on to get there!!

Thanks, Hitman. It was the easiest paint job I've done in quite some time. Just green for the grass, a light grey for the stone, and then a quick dip in my trusty Minwax. Truthfully, the dip was a bit deeper than intended since I accidently dropped the whole darn thing in the can! Still, it did give me that nice dark finish. Then a quick brush coat of Testors Dullcote and voila! Maybe twenty or thirty minutes all told, not counting drying time, and I'm normally not a super fast painter.
