apologies for the treadomancy, but having just seen your pics on another thread about ground cover, I can't help but feel that things have advanced somewhat...

Threadomancy is fine!  :D

The terrain project is still alive and kicking - in fact a lot more pieces have been finished - but they’ve mostly been subsumed into other project threads.

Why so? I lost my way with the ECW in part because I wasn’t at peace with the PL rules, which provide a good period-generic game but didn’t provide the framework I need to build an army. Then the individualistic and characterful Bloody Miniatures appeared on the scene, at which point I lost interest in the hundreds of fairly generic Bicorne I have. Then I realised that the Bloody Miniatures could make great Scots so my 17thC interest swerved from England to Scotland.

My last game (in September) was with Captain Blood and full of Scottishness….. it was a scrabble for hairy beasties.

The better painted minis are CBs, the terrain is all mine. I should probably put this in my Scottish thread:

But that’s not the end of the story!

Since that game in September, we have been graced with Never Mind The Matchlocks, which has an army structure that appeals to me. So I’m presently turning my skirmish Scots  for PL into a Covenanter army for NMTM, which means they’ll be marching into Merrye England.

Will I have the terrain - oh yes: simply because while the ECW was on hold the English collection was being built and expanded for 1875 Dorking.

Btw the terrace of houses are made from kits by Oshiro Model Terrain. They are lovely and I have more to build.

Thanks for prompting  :D

Thanks chaps

The manor has yet to make further progress. With something as big as that, without a relevant game in the diary the focus just seems to shift to more immediate requirements. Shameful I know  lol

What a great table - the scatter terrain blends so well with the table.

Is one of the rivers cut into the tiles, and the other a scatter piece on top?

 :D thanks all

It is indeed - the mill piece is slightly elevated to sit atop a corner of one of the main boards.

With the lack of notifications from LAF until recently, I have missed the previous posts but have now had the pleasure of following the thread. It really is superb and gives me lots of table ideas without aspiring to the quality that has been achieved. I came on this one when searching for pics of Dragoons as I paint up some for my Scots PKL force. Love it.

Is there a link to the Scots build/post?
