28mm Stargate
« on: 18 June 2009, 07:04:11 PM »
I was just wondering if anyone knew of any 28mm Stargate models.  That is of the Stargate itself?  I could have sworn I've seen a few on the market over the years but I can't seem to find any now.

Cold War still have some in stock as far as I can see, they were made by Phoenix Icons but the range has been discontinued.

There are also some free paper models available in the www, which you can easily google. If you don't find a suitable resin or metal model, it might be an alternnative.

The paper ones are surprisingly good but do tend to be smaller than the resin or metal, but are still great for gaming.

Might be worth searching LAF if you havem't already done so, I seem to remember someone doing a Stargate WWW2 project.

Using the minis and gate from Phoenix. There is a size comparison picture of the gate near the bottom of the page if that helps.  :)

You can also build your own from Hirstarts blocks:

I have the one from Monolith. I guess it's really 40mm, but it will do.

It lacks the cool machinery, but Black Cat Bases makes a great looking Warp Gate with a rainbow of customizable colors.

I wholeheartedy concur! :)  In fact I painted one recently for this very purpose!  Well, a fantasy-themed Stargate-esque game we've got planned but not played yet:
