Nice minis but I prefer Gringo 40s as they are more dynamic, full of character, cheaper and can be purchased individually so you can tailor them to your needs.

Thanks for that, somewhat novel way of introducing yourself in your first LAF post. Thought it was a sales pitch..!

Glad you like all the Empress miniatures.
With regard to ranges; to each his own as the saying goes, it's all a personal preference. Whilst Ged has a very nice range (I even have a few) and I've seen some great painters produce excellent results, I'm a bit of a Paul Hicks 'fanboy' with regard to his model sculpts, particularly the Vietnam Range @ Empress.

All very well researched, thought out and sculpted, they also have great conversion potential .
With conversions in mind; compatible scale/size is an issue, particularly with weapons.
As Stan Ridgway pointed out there is always a place for an 'awefully big Marine', however I prefer to stick with one scale of weapons.

Also from personal experience Empress Miniatures customer service is second to none.

Thanks Mick. I'm looking forward to seeing how your hillside game board turns out, great idea.

Oh wow, not a sales pitch at all and I wasn’t expecting that sort of reaction for my first post! I was just trying to express my personal opinion and show you what I had painted up as we are all part of the same community aren’t we? Point taken!

No worries Kevin, the sales pitch comment was a tad tongue in cheek, my bad for not adding a winking emoji (I'm not that up to speed on that sort of thing), here's a happy face   :)
You could have lead with 'these are mine' re your picture, as from what I recall they looked very nicely done, no need to chuck your post out.
LAF is a great place to share your minis etc. You should maybe start a thread for your stuff, I'm sure it would be well received.

Must say, while I like to come back to this thread it is somewhat bittersweet. I have some Vietnam figures standing about all primed and my Indochina paras are also needing a force to fight, and seeing the excellent paintjob you did on them, as well as the cracking conversions on some LRRP groups, I am always one click away from ordering some of them.

Yeah Germany seems to have been the worst / most thorough at this. Better than Sweden who just send them back  lol

Miniaturicam have an order just about to land and Tabletopper have pretty much the complete range in stock and another order just about to leave.

You wont be disapointed, the NVA figures are very well done. Just placed an order for the low level DShK team.
