Frostgrave soldiers + Escher n Orlocks
« on: 01 July 2019, 07:42:09 PM »
Hi there.

I've been living out my homunuculus gene and been experimenting a bit. This is what I've come up with so far.

The Frostgrave soldier bodies work quite well with certain ranges of GW. To fit the Escher arms I only needed some filing to make them look ok. Of course I need to add some green stuff and filing before paint. But the ranges work well together. I tried the Orlock arms on a FG body but it would have been to much work to make them fit and they still would have looked to chunky. But the head fits and the hand is alright.
I've also made one model with Cadian head and arms which fits ok, and one more FG girl with escher hands.

My conclusion is that it would be plausible to build a squad of Hive militia (conscripts) by using Cadian arms and heads, or perhaps a ragtag regiment.
For Necromunda you could use the FG bodies to build unarmed innocent bystanders, or armed not so innocent bystanders. Or a scavgang of your own makings. If you like me enjoy Inquisitor like warfare there are even more possibilities.

Nice work

I love mixing those bodies with different stuff. They are smaller but works really well with GW parts.

They look great, and I am really surprised how well they work together as I thought new GW stuff, especially the 'Munda range, would be fairly incompatible with other manufacturers given the size differences.

Most impressive.

Thanks for the replies. Yes I'm surprised as well, but overall they work quite well together. It has been fun experimenting.

Sorry bout the quality on some photos, but hopefully you get an idea about the figures.
