Probably one of those whisper thin Ronald Colman type ‘taches. Easy to miss at a distance.  :)

By the by, no ‘fire teams’ per se in God’s own army not back then anyway. Groups. Gun group, rifle group, scouts. Two JNCOs. Corporal section commander who usually moves with the rifles and scouts in the assault and a lance jack in charge of the gun group. The rifles and scouts might move independently, with the section commander moving with the scouts or they might move as one group or they might pepper pot by odds and evens in the final stages of an assault. The gun group in a section attack is almost invariably a seperate entity under the command of the section 2IC as it lays down the base of fire. That’s the theory anyway.

Thanks for the info Carlos! I am not the expert on ANZAC platoon structure. So groups it is then instead. Will stick by the four figures anyway as thats the way I paint ( always working with 4 miniatures at a time).

So, above is a picture of the first rifle group of the new ANZAC project I started a week ago. Below are pictures of the 4th missing soldier of the group.

Great figures again, reminds me to get on with mine. How many unplayed with figures will we all have when this lockdown is over?

Last week I got the new Vietnamese civilians from Empress sculpted by Paul Hicks. Very nice figures indeed . I ordered each figure twice as I wanted to change one each by swiping heads or adding some green stuff to get an even wider variety of miniatures.

Will take a bit more time painting the civilians.

Here is the start of my second rifle group for my ANZAC project.

I included the paint palette I am using for my ANZAC miniatures over on Wargamesgazette. So if you are interested go here: https://wargamesgazette.com/2021/03/02/the-diggers-get-a-second-rifle-group/ and scroll down a bit.

The next ANZAC digger this one looks like staging an ambush.
