Yeah, I'm all in on this. Me and my son are enjoying the Lego Marvel games on our PS4 a lot now (and he has a ton of actual Marvel Lego) and this seems the best way to get into the Marvel scene with a solid rules set (Warmachine is still the #1 game for me IMO) and excellent miniatures.
And they already showed Groot, so my boy was totally excited. Can't wait for this one!

Interesting choice of custom D8s.

The figure size is still a concern, not for compatibility with other figures, but for terrain.

I can reuse most of my "28mm" scale buildings etc for "28mm" games, but stuff like Malifaux and WWX require larger scale buildings.

TTCombat sort of bridges the gap of 28mm and Malifaux type scales.

WWX does need 40mm scale buildings, TTCombat looks a bit small.

That other mini appears to be a resin mini from the Fallout Wasteland Warfare game.

40mm is rare for wargaming but I am not concerned.

First, the scale is close to O-Scale railroad models or ~1:48.  My brother is huge into railroad modeling and I have been to many railroad shows with him and you can get buildings and other terrain accessories for relatively cheap when molded in plastic. 

The play surface even for tournament rules will be a 3' x 3', that is not a very large area.  Even the terrain they had at the show did not seem that big of a deal to build.  Those two trains were the most expensive parts of that display but if you have a 3D printer there are STL files to print your own.

40mm IMHO will be easier to paint so I feel I will get these to the table faster.  I pumped to get this but there are rumors that it may not arrive until 2020

Saw it at Gencon over the weekend.  Models are a bit large, but .. well, superheroes, right?  The majority of the terrain they used were O Scale buildings.  I believe several of the Privateer Press guys did, in fact, jump ship from Privateer to start this game (or help develop it, or something...).  I didn't get a chance to try the rules because the guys who were trying the demo were taking forever.  Like 15 minutes between rolling dice.  No idea what they were doing, other than making folks pretty annoyed.

They do offer some additional terrain.  I saw a newspaper stand and some cars.  The cars were just plastic shells.  I think some toy cars would work just as well.

The Hulk is sufficiently large.  My favorite, though ... MODOK.
