Those look lovely, Bill. I'm particularly fond of the guy on the far left. That one stands out as a really sharp paint job. Love the green and blue work on the clothes.

I finally posted a battle report of the game I played last weekend.

And I finished up repainting most of my GZG buildings. If all goes well I can use them in a game tonight.

Thanks.  It was pretty simple.  I primed them grey, then sponged on white.  I used blue tape to mask for the stripe, sponged the orange paint on.  Windows are the usual, then I hit some detail bits with black and highlighted them. I stole the planter idea on the left from someone, Ludanto I think.

Building bases are cut down from 12” adhesive vinyl floor tiles.  Cheap and easy to cut.

Good battle report. Nice of the team to help Watts find a sawbones.

Terrain for the game looked grand. Do you play the green bases as full forrest terrain for the purposes of blocking sight? Maybe you talked about it and I could have missed it.

It seemed a good way to explain why the rivalry ended.

The green bases are thick woods, and the trees are moved around freely. I’m looking at some better solutions, because I think they are ugly. And I hate those trees. But it’s what I have right now.

I think the trees are fine. Not sure how much better they could be. The green areas could easily be touched up with the sponge painting done on the tabletop, or even a little bit of gravel/flock fixed to the surface. Truthfully, I don't think any of that is needed as they serve their purpose at low cost. The only thing sexier than photo-realistic terrain is cheap terrain that holds up under use lol.

I agree, that was a clever way to resolve the rivalry.

I’ve finished up this platoon of GZG’s UNSC light infantry. This was a speed painting project because I wanted to get something done. These took me a week of about an hour each evening to go from primer to finished.

I have a pile of support weapons and specialists from the same starter deal pack, but when I started these up I decided those were a separate project for my “finish each project before I start another” resolution.  So they will show up after a few other projects.
