Did these a while ago & thought I had posted them, but it seems I didn't.
Bought a sprue of Quar as I thought they would make good  Council Workmen in Sci-Fi games.
I was gifted (by Digits) a 40K Walker/lifter, well (to me) it made perfect sense for it to become a
Heavy lifter for the Workmen.

A walker/lifter is a great heavy option for your Quar work squad.

Using up some odd bits. Too few to make a decent wall or similar, so I ended up with...
A Gothic bed ??????  :o

One bed you don't want to jump on.

More from our Scotland trip.
This was a Broch called, 'Dun Beag' on the Isle of Skye.
We parked in a lay-by on the other side of the road to it.
The weather was...Scottish  ;) & it was a steepish climb up loose rocks, greasy tussocks & masses of sheep droppings.
Helen stayed in the warm car & read her book.  :D

Views from the top. The tiny white thing (upper middle) was a big van parked next to our car in the lay-by.

Some detail of the stonework.

And the stairs.

The surviving parts of the inner ring

The tiny entrance to one of the surviving 'rooms'

My foot for scale  lol

The information plaque.

On the way back down, evidence that something still hunts up there.  :o

Again, shoe for scale.

We saw lots of brochs in my long ago 6-week sojourn through Scotland. That's one of the first cutaway drawings I've seen on what life would have been like inside of one, though.

I'd have tramped up the hillside and back down with you!

Bob, you've seen me in action on many a battlefield...I'm de-feeted often.  lol

Thanks for the offer.
I am sure the interpretation of what it looked like is open to debate.
I have seen a wide variety oif what a Broch 'would' have looked like.
Definitely no planning permission required when they were built.  :D

While on Skye we visited Dunvegan castle, well one of Helen's friends said that I take her on ABC Tours,
Another Bloody Castle!  lol
This is home to the 'Fairy Flag'. I was keen to see it & see if they had any information as to what it
would have looked like in its Hey Day... They didn't.  >:( :? :-[ :'(

I have been to Europe 3 years running for vacation meeting up with friends visiting their families (Germany, Ireland and Portugal). I never tire of visiting historic castles, churches, abbeys and ruins.  My wife generally loves the first one, the second one of the day better have a winery or restaurant nearby.
