And the Convoy, comes rolling along....

Seems like a good spot for an ambush to me

Very nice. Who makes that open topped BTR?

This is a 1/50 scale 3D print off a guy on eBay, unfortunately, I can't recommend it, as it took loads of work to get it looking reasonable. The backend was the worst, I had to put boxes and some camo netting to cover the misprinted sections.

I know what that's like, bought a 1/56 LVTP-5 FDM print (!), ended up covering most of the top with 'sand bags' & boxes. Never again...

Old age is a wonderful thing. I began reading and enjoying this thread-avoiding the ineffective sniping-and then realised that I had already commented! Really the article is so enjoyable it was like reading it for the first time... also some extra goodies at the end.
I will repeat myself in true old man fashion-Lord Raglan your work is excellent, thank you for sharing.
Right I best be off to work-this has made me late but is totally worth it... they will understand when I explain I am sure.

Thank you buddy, that's very kind of you to say so.

As for the Russian sniper fire, I am pleased to report this has ceased and he has probably moved on to another sector.

Love the road block.
I went back and looked at the whole thread.
(Not the first time I have done that.)
Just a wonderful setup.
Thanks for sharing.

Great idea! And love the snow...  :-*

It brings to mind the misery of fighting in winter conditions...

Going along with the others, great roadblock. However, I particularly like the kicked up dirt on the snow, which is a nice little detail!

First Chechen War - Chechen rebels quickly disperse into ambush positions, ready to attack the Russian convoy.
