Howdie, Howdie, Howdie.
« on: July 06, 2009, 11:17:12 PM »
Look at me, everybody - I'm a cowboy! (Sorry, a favorite old Far Side cartoon).

I live in South Texas, near the border with Mexico.  I've been here since 1990, having originated in Tennessee (the Nashville area).  I have been playing wargames since the early 70s, and collecting miniatures since about the same time, although I didn't really combine the two until I discovered D&D in the summer of 1979 (well, there were a few games of the SPI game Sniper we played with Airfix figures before that, come to think of it).

These days the house is sinking into the earth from the weight of lead (and books) stuffed into, a problem I suspect many around here share.  I still mainly play D&D, although we do play some fantasy skirmish games (Mordheim rules) and the occasional game of Warhammer.  In the last couple of years we (Neotacha and I) have been collecting and painting some Pulp figures from various manufacturers.   We haven't actually played with them yet (unless you count me making bang! bang! Aiiieeee noises while painting them) but we have picked up some of the Rat Trap rules and we are planning on playing some pulp games.  At some point.

We are seriously addicted to cool-looking terrain.

-Michael

Howdy Michael and welcome.  I too am a Tennessean relocated to Texas.  :)

We haven't actually played with them yet (unless you count me making bang! bang! Aiiieeee noises while painting them)...

As long as you include a sound effect for rolling dice I think it counts in my book!

Thanks guys.

I actually joined once before, but they threw me out.  Didn't read the old you-get-the-boot-in
four-weeks-if-you-don't-post email.

Where are you located, DFlynSqrl?  We live in the Edinburg/McAllen area.

Michael,

I believe you should benefit of a +1 modifier to die rolls, if you shout "BANG! BANG!.. AYEEE...."
Well, most pulp rules really should have such a rule. ;)
