As you would expect from a super rich guy, it's big, and it's amazing. Took him 23 years to complete.

I was listing to the radio when it came on and had missed the very start so it wasn't until the end that I realised that it was that Rod that was talking, he did sound very knowledgeable about he subject and then Jules Holland as well, very interesting program an other geek is outed lol lol lol

The Rod Stewart railway is superb, note that it is inspired by another extraordinary network: the George Sellios Franklin & South Manchester Railroad.

Excellent book! And since then, the F & SM has grown considerably!

In the web magazine Railroad Model Hobbyist (free), there are several articles on the evolution of the network.

And credit to Rod in that a lot of it is his own work, rather than just bought in. He reckons around 80% was done by him & the parts that were done by others were (necessarily complex on a layout that size) most electrical work.
