Mark, They are a mix of Artizan Designs and Saxon Miniatures, now sold by Warlord which I bought in one of their sales lately.

To this will be added Gripping Beast, old Musketeer/Footsore (From the Caliphate range) as well as many other odds and ends.

Can't wait to get my camera back  :D

Lovely work so far! I'm interested in starting with Medievals, and precisely in Reconquista, so I'll be keeping a close eye on this thread  ;)

I couldn't resist taking a few snaps with my new camera of the completed unit of Yusuf ibn Tashfin's Black Guard. They've been sitting ion the cabinet for a while now as hummed and harred over what camera to go for.

I currently ploughing through three more units of Almoravid and Andalusian troops and they should all be completed quite soon.

Here's a couple of pics- There are more on my blog here:

Thanks for everyone's kind words  :)

It's that soft resin-ey stuff James. Slightly spungy. It's from Tablescape and part of their Middle Eastern/North African range. I originally bought them for the Indian Mutiny but I needed something to block out all my paints today and they were at hand  :) They're pre-painted, which I don't normally go in for but I think they've done a decent job so no modification needed. If anything I'd probably add them to a large base in sections of two or three bases then fill in the gaps between the single pieces with Milliput.

Quite right - up the workers!
Nicely done, all armies need more baggage and honest toilers in the field.

Actually, I need to find more baggage type mini's for both the Islamic and Christian forces so if you have any suggestions, please fire away :)
