American marines in the 1860's

Got a question about the American marines in the 1860's, in particular the drums (assuming they had such things). These would be marines abroad and not involved in the ACW.

If there wasn't such a thing that's fine but if there were then I'd need to know the colours of the drums. If anyone has any references it would be greatly appreciated  :)
