I think everyone was too busy enjoying themselves, and it was only a few moves in, when someone said “how do we get out to the sub ?”.
All I can say is “get yourselves a jet pack boys “...for further info and prices, see Digits, as he’s got 3 of them from my 3 dead characters 😄

They won’t be cheap.  They were hard fought for,  they are very shiny and you’ve got to consider delivery costs, documentation, spares, training and that’s before VAT !

Planning is afoot for a FFofL Napoleonic just after Christmas.
Might set it in Egypt, could do with a bit of sun this time of year.

The turret was a resin miscast from a bargain box at a show many years ago.
As I said it kept 'coming to the top of the pile' and was too nice to not use, but
far too much of a project to build the tank/armoured car body. I had thought
of putting onto some kind of bunker/strong-point, then 'Light-bulb' moment.
In my boxes of bits I saw a disused drip-tray from an old George Forman fat
free grill. Added a few hatches, paint job & details... One Forman class Attack
Submarine.
All down to Wargamers' rule No. 1 (Don't throw anything away.)

Love the sub..  Always nice to see a bit of a Navy presence once and a while.

the advantage of a sub is that it can 'pop up' during a scenario.
Players may be wary in future of seemingly empty bodies of
water, or acid or... well just about any liquid.
When I introduced my youngest brother to the then new D&D
he would go down 5' wide corridors, but never the 10' wide ones,
because, 'Dragons can go down 10' wide corridors'.

Fantastic write up of the game.  Looked like lots of fun!

Thanks for sharing.  I’ll have to check out the FFoL Rules .

Try them Fluffy, I hope you enjoy them as much as others do.
Good reason to paint up a few figures & a bit of scenery (any period) & enjoy the hobby.

He often is right, just doesn't get into many adventures.
playing games is where I can take big risks & not get hurt.
Well I have been a little upset over the death of some of
my favourite troops.

He often is right, just doesn't get into many adventures.

Reminds me of playing RPGs with my wife.
Me: "There is a loud explosion several doors down from where you are staying."
Her: "I stay put."
Me: "Really? I mean... don't you want to see what that is?"
Her: "No, sounds dangerous. It would be safer to wait inside."
Me: "You know you are the town's hero, right? Like, if you don't go investigate then..."
Her:  :-I

 lol
