The Horns of the Scarlet Beast
« on: December 18, 2019, 03:55:23 PM »
Here's a little cult for Strange Aeons which I've painted up, known as The Horns of the Scarlet Beast.

The miniatures are the classic "Evil Hooded Minions" (1 & 2) from Bob Murch's Pulp Figures range, with a couple of minor conversions.

The inspiration for the colour scheme comes from the cover art of Death's 1987 Scream Bloody Gore album.

The name of the cult and my idea for their backstory is based on Revelation 17 (specifically verses 12 and 13).

Quote
And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.

This nefarious cult is based in England. Their purpose is as-yet unclear, though dark deeds are afoot and will be shortly investigated by the following Threshold agents (Dixon Miniatures Mobsters with Guns):

Here's some more detailed photos:

Reports of the cult's activities and the forthcoming Threshold investigation, will soon be released...

I've decided to abandon this project and sell these minis, as I want to devote my hobby time to things that interest me more than Lovecraft.
