Recommended Cement for Plastic Model Kits

It's been a while since I've put a plastic kit together, and I can't for the life of me remember what I used in the past. I want to say Testors Model Cement, but I could be wrong. Looking for recommendations from anyone more experienced than I.

Tamiya  Extra Thin Cement is your friend,works by capillary action, less mess et cetera.

I second the Tamiya Extra Thin.

Personaly I'm using Tamiya Limonene cement :

Smells good (lemon), apparently it's safe to use, I'm using it in my bedroom small workshop. I tested it on several brands of plastic models kits : games workshop, armourfast, valiant, etc... with success.

Plastic Magic was recommended to me. Seems to work well so far. . .  . Well the Rubicon kit held together with it hasn't fallen apart yet.

Where you are will determine the best product that is available to you (postal services are a bit wary of transporting corrosive/toxic/flammable materials - they tend to be concerned about their employees melting/dying/bursting into flames or suing them for any of the above).

For UK over the counter, I use Tamiya extra thin cement for Rubicon kits (they have a high ABS content and many liquid cements will not touch it).

I use Humbrol liquid poly in general, I have a "thickened" pot which has had bits of sprue added for minor filling and surface texturing.

A combination of the two (some slightly thickened Humbrol will tack a part in place, then fix it by running Tamiya extra thin into the joint by capillary action).
