20mm 1:72 SUV's
« on: 14 January 2020, 08:32:53 PM »
Hi

I'm looking with some SUV's to transport my vips around my Imagi-nation.  The kind visiting ambassadors or high profile targets might use.

Could anyone point me in the direction?

Obliged

I know that Elhiem is currently in the process of designing one as he has shown off the digital masters for one in the works. Other then that I can't think of any made by actual mini producers, might have to trawl through what available hotwheels are out there?

Cheers Brummie, I'll wait until he's ready and then I'll get those, plus some other Elhiem goodies...

I have a lot of SUV's from the Hobbyden, the closed back pick up kind. The ones that the government uses as unmarked cars in Beirut (and always have right of way...)

Also found this:

I've some of Kores 15mm stuff and they're a bit on the small/true side, so this may be a tad small too.

That's a pretty good looking truck! Might have to check out the range.

You can find the toyota hilux and hilux revo in Majorette diecast range. I'm using them for my own games :

@sundayhero

All I could find in 1/72 Majorette was a Ford F150. Are you sure the Toyotas are 1/72? I did find a few, but they were listed at 1/58th scale.

I've not got any of the Kore 20mm stuff but I've got some of the 28mm stuff back form the first Kickstarter. It's fantastic stuff, I'd certainly recommend them.

I’m using matchbox for 20mm pickups.

You are welcome.
I normally undercoat them in a dark colour, then put the colour on that I want.
I’ve just noticed Oxford die cast do 1/72 scale Range Rovers if that helps.

When you are next heading to a Supermarket, Poundland or Charity shop,
take along one spare unpainted figure. Put it along side any cheap toy cars.
If it looks OK, buy it.
