Tripods and Triplanes - First Play AAR
« on: February 13, 2020, 04:51:50 AM »
We tried out Tripods and Triplanes last Monday. Al umpired for the night and the rest of us had fun! if you've played Wings of War/Glory it's easy to pick up. For our first game we limited the forces just to see how the Martian rules worked in conjunction with the original Wings of War ones. The Tripods are pretty hard to knock out but that said the vagary of the damage cards can balance that, one Martian going down to MG damage and an Explosion damage card.

A Martian Tripod deploys 'Black Smoke'...

An Albatros soars passed the remains of a Martian Fighting Machine...

Lt Kremb was awarded the Iron Cross Second Class and a Wound Badge in recognition of his efforts at the time...

The Martians triumphed but not without losses. Al's full write up is here...

That’s a great looking game.  Looks like a lot of fun.  Love the biplanes!
Hail to the King, baby.

Thanks, Captain. Haven't seen that we can carry yet in the store, but fingers crossed. (As I told Dan, makes the typing difficult...)
