PSC samples for Battlegroup NorthAG...
« on: 21 March 2020, 11:09:21 AM »
Some pics of the test samples they sent me... only had time to build a couple. So these are very much as they came out of the first try with the moulds. I know with the Siocast system it takes a few tests to get the pressure right.

Really like this material for gaming vehicles... no more chipped tanks or bent and broken barrels!

No they are plastic.
It is just the sprues lack the precision of most injection moulded polystyrene/ABS and look more like the Mantic "Restic" type sprues.

There is that "mould" line diagonally across the hull side of the Sultan that I would expect from a soft mould.

There is also the mention of Slocast rather than injection moulding in hard plastic.

I might be persuaded to buy some French, if they ever make some.
You know me too well Bob.

Plus the Dutch, Belgian and Germans.

But first, please can we have full BAOR and Soviets.

Quite interested in this, I like the 15mm stuff out there but the scale doesn't feel right for Cold War gone hot scenarios.

Bit confused. PSC already do a 15mm Cold War range don’t they? This is the same thing but reproduced in 10mm?
Also, Victrix are going to do 12mm WW2 plastics?
There’s a lot of scale hopping in AFV land going on  ;)

PSC do T55, M60 and Leopard in 15mm plus Soviet infantry, with the exception of the T55, I think this is a new range to go with the rules.

I did go and check their website, but they have a new one which is - to put it mildly, temperamental.
