Command Decision Game - Attack on Noville
« on: April 02, 2020, 10:30:54 PM »

Here‘s some photos from my first shelter-in-place game with my son. We’re playing a stripped down version of the Fight for Noville during the Battle of the Bulge. He’s attacking with two German Battalions vs my hidden American Task Force.
Visibility is limited to 4“ at the beginning of the game due to fog. My plan is to slow him down using shoot and scoot with my M18 but this idea is still born due to having all three of my first shots hit but fail to do damage. He returns fire and voila, one dead Hellcat. The supporting Stuart follows the next turn and the Germans roll on.
Only other contact was a meeting of recon elements on the northern flank. Germans will make contact with the forces in Noville proper next turn which we will play tonight.

Thanks for the game report. It's been a looong time since I played Command Decision. I recall that dynamic..."Oops. Missed. Dead." Which edition are you using?
You'll shoot your eye out, kid!

I’m using the 4th edition, Test of Battle.  It’s the best in my mind due to ease of play.
