Looting and Plundering.
« on: 27 July 2009, 04:31:36 AM »
Well it took awhile, but I finally recieved all my my Pirate goodies and started to go at it.  My wife wanted to get more involved than what she was in my hobby and said if I painted up a female crew, she will play.  I got busy then.

First off I made a playing board, standard 4x4 one.  So it will work nicely for scenarios during our campaigns at home.  Then all the minis arrived and so did the rules.  I went with LotHS for now.  Check it out and see how it plays.

So far one piece of terrain is done for our adventures, and here it is:

Here are the beginnings of My Privateer Crew:

My sons Pirate Crew

No pictures of my wifes female Pirates, but should have some soon.  Any CC is welcome.

Nice work! The porous rocks remind me very much of the Hawaiian royal palace on Maui built from blocks of coral.

Thanks Aaron.  Yeah I found those blocks at Hobby Lobby in the train section.  I am working on building a whole fort with those.  Turning out ok I guess, we shall see.

Nice looking terrain board. I take it that it is 12" x 12" board and you still have to make 3 more? Regardless, the board looks great. Thanks for sharing.

Victory is guaranteed to the last man standing, but always remember those whom you stepped on to get there!!

The terrain pieces are alittle different in shapes and sizes.  My fort one that I am working on is bigger.  I have already made a table to play on that is 4'x4'.   The sizes of the terrain pieces are as big as I cut them  lol.  No rhyme or reason in them.

Yeah.  I find then when I try to plan something out, it goes to the toilet.  Well with the 'miniature' world.  So I get the basic concept in my head and then get working and improvise all the way through till I am satisfied.

Well update time folks.  First off more Scurvy Lads and Lasses.

Also here is a picture of my Cannibal/Zulu warrior.  Not to sure I like how he turned out, but with practice they will get better.

Well the stage was set.  Three crews heard of tales and yarns of a treasure on a remote island just lying in wait.
Each crew hastily threw together their supplies and hoisted their sails and made way for search of this grand treasure and fortune!

They sailling was smooth and the seas calm and land was quickly and easily spotted.  This is where their good fortunes ran out.

As each crew crested the beach shore and rounded over the hills, they spotted  a long abandoned fort.

The Pirate Crew of the 'Black Dingy'(named by my son  )  Captained by the dreaded Trevallion Black Beard started quickly towards thier goal in sight.

Followed quickly by another devious crew of maurading female Pirates of the Black Lotus.  But wait, coming from the South is the famous Privateer Cpt. Thorne and his band of loyal sailors.

Fierce fighting insued, shots flying wildly by, and crew members running to reach the treasure first.

All in all while Cpt Thorne routed the devious female pirates and turned his sights on Cpt Black Beard, the foreign Aliffe was sneaking his way closer to the treasure.

Each Cpt, bloodied and bruised from thier wild assault on one another, the strange Aliffe finds the treasure and they drive Cpt Thorne from the fort.  Cpt Trevallion Black Beard was victorious to raid and plunder some more.
