Very proud of my regiment, the Earl of Manchester’s.

https://earlofmanchesters.co.uk/

Try clicking the link, then watch the exciting video on the right of the screen to get a flavour of fighting in the Knot.

I could swamp with pictures but some of my favourite times have been Nantwich.....the only winter battle the Knot does.

Manc’s always get in the spirit of it, taking part in the Rose Bowl.  Even in my short time at the helm we have won it a few times.

Notice the authentic pole arm!

And in earler days, when life was simple as a musketeer, here I am kneeling in the snow!

Your uncle front right looks like Anna Kendrick  :D

Before this useful topic vanishes down the list, I have set it as a sticky so it remains at the top of the board. I'm sure, over time, other C17th re-enactors will want to add photos of their younger, more dashing selves to the record ;) :)

Thank you, that’s right nice of you. Hoping to see lots of other people’s photos. Not sure if I was ever young or dashing!   ;)

I seem to remember the chap holding the colour, looks very familiar but it was a long time ago! Glad to see Tyldesleys on here.

First time I've ever tried to post up a photo, so here goes. Only just started uploading to My Gallery yesterday.

350th Anniversary of Battle of Edgehill, October 1992, an event with the SK (Sealed Knot).

I’ve just realised that Parliamentarian Officer is standing right in front of a small cannon  :o

:) From my point of view I must say that is just where you'd want them.

Here I am at Lydiard House when I was a member of Samuel Jones' Greencoats in the SK, late 1980's.
I am the pike man in the middle of the shot.

I must say I really enjoy those re-enactment photos.
Brings back memories.

I used to be in The King's Guard of the Sealed Knot.
Had to leave cause my wife insisted new babies leave no time for UK trips and never managed to get back in.

Must confess I still miss it, finally painting my ECW miniatures will probably  only revive that feeling.
 ;)

Powick bridge organised by Worecester Militia early 1990’s.
Riders mixture of Sealed Knot and ECWS, with Fairfax Battallia in pre battle display.
Also featured a very large cannon. Tower Hamlets ?

I am in this photo at the front of the Royalist pike block (the RHS block) holding the colour. The block is a mixture of Slanning’s Regt (stripey pikes) and Rawdon’s Regt.

Happy days…
