Hurons - my first figures for FiW
« on: 12 April 2020, 11:16:13 PM »
I succumbed to Muskets and Tomahawks the other week and ordered up a Huron war party from Galloping Major, having seen the work of Captain Blood and others.  I really like the figures, bags of character and very cleanly cast (very little clean up required); it was also a selling point that they offer various group deals that are ideal for M & T.  The minis arrived incredibly quickly (especially considering the current situation) and I’ve painted a couple of test models using the painting guide on the Galloping Major website. I think I’ll be getting more of these...

Very nice indeed. Off to look at that painting guide now, as I have a ton of plastic warriors to paint.

They look great, and I think GM are the best F&IW figures available at this time.

I find something incredibly addictive about painting GM figures. You've done a great job, I watched Last of the Mohicans again on Saturday night and your guys could have stepped out of the ambush scene outside the Fort!

Thanks chaps.  I’m working on the rest now, plus some winter forest terrain for that North American vibe.

Really need to watch Last of the Mohicans again - used to have it on VHS last century...😂

I feel exactly the same way. I have far more GM figures that I really need to my FIW project and yet I keep buying more.

I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of them James.
