The 4th Regt of Foot




Being a full-strength battalion it can split into two wings:


The Grenadier coy and 4 line companies under the Colonel


4 line coys and the Light coy out skirmishing under the second-in-command


The second one of my battalions is on the painting table : Perry miniatures 1/43rd Light Infantry

They look like they are shifting a pace to me!  Nicely animated figures.

Know what you mean though....real life and work now getting in my way too so a slow down is inevitable.  However, persevere matey, won’t be long and you will have two magnificent regiments.....cracking.

It's from Alternative Armies. I discovered them just before Christmas. They do a few really nice carts they are must-haves.

Late in joining my Anglo ally, but then manjana (I'll check the spelling tomorrow)
is a Spanish word.
My first unit to take the field. Militia from Eagle miniatures.
They had been (hiding ?) in my lead mountain. I bought them
'back in the day' when Partizan was still at Kelham hall, before
even the 'big marquee' year!
I have received more from Eagle, though they will be line troops,
& will be in White (see other recent comments on how to paint
white uniforms) & I have yet to decide how to paint them.

By raiding my 'Embuscada' (Peninsular skirmish) stock, &
adding four more Scots, I now have a second unit to fight
Senor Digit's troops.

Vodkafan, to paraphrase...  someone in history,
'They may well be Sabot bases, but they is our sabot bases.'

Not sure how wide those bases are, but we will work them somehow.

The lads on the left look like they’ve had a few jars!  Awesome!
