The buildings are made by Brian, who used a range of materials, wood, plaster, think the tiled roofs are resin.

They are very sturdy.
Brian made all of the buildings used in John Rays book A Military Gentleman - he also did some amazing line drawings - a highly talented artist - and I remember you showing a lot of the conversions before paintwork and they were virtually master models - I’ll bet those buildings have a lot of internal detailing because he is a perfectionist - and a top bloke on a night out - a real geezer

Nice painting. Just love that mule train.

I've been painting quite a lot of those S&S 40 mm figures for a client in the States. So far, I think I've painted fourteen (possibly seventeen) 36 man battalions plus some guns for him, all French, and he's just sent me another five battalions of Spanish to do - which I'll start in a week or two.

That guy must have a lot of dosh, & now a lot of lovely 40mm troops.
I can't think why I hate him.

My work but, not my figures. I never publish pictures of the work I do for my clients (without express permission) so I don't have pictures (that I sometimes take for a client before posting) in a place I can link to.

All really look great! Excellent collection!

These are some of the figures Brian did for me, still not got them painted, thought about having a battalion being shot to pieces, (similar to Ian's beautiful Confederate unit), then thought about seeing if some could be cast so I could have a whole battalion firing (kneeling & standing).

Great conversions. You kept the S&S shot in the junk figure on the right intact!

Does this Brian Riglesford still make terrain? If not, who are the terrain makers today who make nice looking, robust buildings and field fortifications.

Bryan is a great bloke and exceptionally talented. Good company witty and very friendly.
Regarding the hobby he is never seen now. There are  3 people that are still owed buildings  for money they paid upfront. I remember him taking orders at a show in a car park , that was the last I ever saw him. He

Some old pictures of a fortified barn and all sorts of bits and pieces.  I think the plan for this was to have a small garrison under attack by Spanish guerrillas.

Beautiful figures and buildings. If you want to see more of Brian's work, try looking at the TYW Imperial Dragoons thread in Pikes, Muskets and Flouncy Shirts. Brian hasn't done any work for me for years, but I still miss his conversions - second to none in my view.

Agree with you Paul, his conversions are excellent, as well as converting figures, his buildings are equally brilliant. Shame he went off radar, would of liked him to  do some more figures & buildings.
